Arcane Lands is a project that I'm working on that is meant to captivate the user in a rich 2D Isometric enviromental game world. The player is given a chance to explore this world, make discoveries, complete quests, craft items, and be social with other players. The game is meant to be socially focused, with opportunities to dress or gear your character to ones desires. The game is inspired by Endless Online, that I grew up playing, which had a chilling atmosphere around it.
The game is written from scratch in C++ using Allegro 5 and SDL_Net. It has its own custom compiled scripting language, developer terminal, and editor.
I am the only programmer on the project. Pixel art and music assets for the game has been done by Pan, otherwise known as Megamoogle.
